Anshai Lal’s Phillauri has collected Rs 4.02 crore on its opening day at the box office. The collections are slightly better than a film like ‘NH 10’ which was adult rated and didn’t get the additional boost in the north due to Diljit Dosanjh’s presence.
The film now needs 25-30% growth on both Saturday and Sunday to cross the 15 crore mark over the weekend.
The competition for Philauri came from the 2-week-old Badrinath Ki Dulhania, which has managed to collect around 1.25 crore on its 15th day.

This is Anushka ‘s star power and that due to diljit, tomorrow you will call her no 1, she’s just Lucky she’s been working with the khans and new generation of stars otherwise people seem not to be bothered about her. Deepika going to Hollywood, PC being away, Kareena being pregnant really helped her career.

Good opening for small budget film. For BB2 I think it will open in between 10 to 20 cr. not more than that but that type of opening will beat the highest opening of Raees.
