The cash crunch in the country is likely to impact this week’s releases – Force 2 and Tum Bin 2 – at the box office. The makers of the two films have confirmed that both films will be arriving as previously scheduled, but even if they want to move to a different date, there are no free dates in the next few weeks.
There is Alia Bhatt – Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dear Zindagi’ on November 25, followed by ‘Kahaani 2’ on December 2 and ‘Befikre’ on December 9. After which Aamir Khan arrives with his biggie ‘Dangal’.
The impact on ‘Force 2’ could be as high as 25-30% as the film is targeted at the audience in smaller centres and watching a movie in theatre doesn’t feature anywhere in the wish list for most people. The promos of the films that are releasing after the demonetisation announcement, haven’t really helped generate any interest to watch the films either.
The FBO table below has been updated. With two days to go for the release of Force 2, we expect the film to collect around 4.8 crore on its opening day. There doesn’t seem to be any interest to watch Tum Bin 2. The final prediction will be made on Thursday.

I want dear zindagi to collect at least 60 to 80 crores in its lifetime becoz it has limited appeal and will be released on 1500 to 1700 screens and that too multiplexes.

SRK i just the producer and has less role, like that of his role in Bhootnath
even without demonet….it would have been a flop .
Srk fans pls stop saying adhm collection is due to SRK. srk cameo gave boost to adhm by 40-50cr. etc etc. ADhm did business only and only because of SUPERSTAR and soon to be MEGASTAR ranbir kapoor and not because of struggling Srk or Alia, Fawad, Anuska,Ash, paid reviews, KJO , media , KRK etc..
I request Srkians to concentrate on Raees which will struggle to collect 80cr infront of brilliant KAABIL and eventually Flop at box office.. Even Dear Zindagi looks like a TV series or documentary.

Not sure why are they making movies with the card board faced John as lead. All his movies sink without a trace.
Dear Zindagi has a wider appeal. It may not work for masses, but it will definitely appeal to youth and families.
We have already seen this year only good movies from any genre have worked. No excuses regarding the genre and appeal of movie are acceptable.
