Hollywood release ‘Doctor Strange’ showed excellent growth in business in its second weekend, even as the new Hindi release ‘Rock On 2’ struggled to sell tickets at the box office in its first weekend.
The biggest impact of demonetisation of currency notes was on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with film business recovering to a certain extent on Saturday and Sunday.
Check out the day-wise collections of Doctor Strange in its second weekend, compared to Rock On 2 in its first. The Farhan Akhtar – Shraddha Kapoor starrer is one of the biggest disasters of 2016, along with other films like Great Grand Masti and Mirzya.

Rock On 2 is a massive disaster . Demonetisation has affected but it was a sureshot failure . Trailer, music, dialogue promos and casting everything was terrible . 2016 has been the year of Sequels and all of them have failed miserably except H3 even though it is an underperformer . This will be a severe setback for Excel Entertainment and the failure rate of 2016 is increasing day by day . People will be more cautious in spending their money on movies till 30th Dec but I think till the next week situation will improve . Doctor Strange has done really good business which means people who want to watch movies are willing to swipe their debit/credit cards . !!!!!!!!!!!

I am so happy that Indian audience proved this year that they either want content or salman khan, all these holly flicks worked on their merit.
shradhha kapoor doesnt suit these type of roles. For example, srk doesn’t suit role of dabangg and salman doesn’t suit role of Fan.Thats why rock on 2 didnt click. However I don’t like shraddha at all.

India Will never Compete Hollywood level .. Doctor strange is so difficult film for making …and bollywood best vfx movie was just Krrish 3 and Ra one. Everything in Doctor strange was mind blowing …
I think, Rock On 2 killed Farhan Akhtar as a leading man forever. He has no future as an actor.
forget about Demonitization. .. even if someone given free tickets of rock on2 and few notes of 100 rs to me, i won’t watch rock on2. People have outrightly rejected this film. Demonitization is just excuse.
Guys, whether you are a Marvel fan or not, go and watch Dr. Strange, it is one of the best films in recent times of Super Heroes. Great Acting, Good Director, Awesome graphical illusions, strong script, good casting, and lot of fun moments.
Also, if you guys are new to Marvel movies, do wait before and after the end credits……that’s a norm.
