Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan attended the wedding ceremony of wrestler Geeta Phogat, held at her ancestral village in Haryana.
Aamir’s upcoming film ‘Dangal’ is based on the life of Mahavir Singh Phogat and his two daughters who go on to be Gold Medal winning wrestlers. The actor said his film is a wedding gift to Geeta.
“‘Dangal’ is my wedding gift to Geeta” Aamir said.
Aamir was the star attraction at the wedding as thousands of people gathered to catch a glimpse of the superstar. Security was in place too.
The actor posed for pictures with Mahavir’s family and also the bride and the groom.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Dangal is scheduled to release in theatres on December 23.
