PINK had a slow start on Friday morning, but occupancy at metro cities picked up quite significantly as the day progressed – which is always a positive sign that the reports are good and the film is finding appreciation.
The upward trend continued on Saturday morning and noon as occupancy at almost every centre that we tracked was higher than Friday. Night shows are expected to be huge as such films tend to peak on Saturday late-evening / night.

Just saw Pink. It is the movie of the year. What a brilliant film. Hats off to Amitabh Bachchan. It is his CAREER BEST PERFORMANCE. Taapsee Pannu is an excellent actor. I also liked her in Baby and hope that she does more movies. Pink is a must watch movie on big screen.

Pink reviews were top notch. Will watch in USA on Sunday. I wish more people go watch movies like pink. It is not masala film. Bollywood movie fans are changing and they want more hard hitting movies
wom of pink is very positive. again its big b show this year. previous year honestly ranveer deserved national award as he is new actor and gave that bajirao performance, but this year its big b who deserve all the praises & awards. acting wise only challenge can be seen by ak in dangal

What also came to my mind our current PM’s first Red Fort speech about why not sons also behave themselves!
We as a society are being comfortable being hypocrite.A girl should be judged by her clothes.Her mingling with boys,her drinking habits,her cracking ‘Non-veg’ jokes clearly makes her of loose character! At least many of us believe so.
Pink sends us on a reality check by its hard hitting ways.Most RELEVANT film of the year by far,it makes us feel the emotions and helplessness of the characters in a system where rich and powerful rule the roost controlling cops and even justice machinery.
The three girls living in a South Delhi locality accuse one of molestation and further troublemakings but eventually find themselves trapped instead, with bombardment of accusations (planted mainly for their character assasination !).And it culminates in a long but believeable court drama which proves more to be a soul searching exercise for us.
Shoojit Sircar along with the debutant director Anirudhha Roy Choudhary,sets up a fast paced and thought provoking story that almost every Indian woman will identify with.
Yes,Amitabh Bachchan,the perennial acting powerhouse,as Deepak Sehgal- a lawyer of the girls is top-notch ,Angad Bedi despite his cricketing bloods is impressive in his negative character of Rajveer,and all other characters are too good and realistic.
But let’s salute the three girls!
Tapsee Pannu as the main protagonist Minal Arora, is just sensational but it’s Kirti Kulhari as Falak who steals the show.Yes,it’s also shame for us when the character of Adria,third of the lot breaks down making us believe that ‘North-eastern girls are harassed more than an average Indian girl’.
The girls depict the nervousness,frustration and vulnerability which emanates from our parameters which at times is applicable for faierer sex only.
A valuable lesson in CONSENT,this is a film which needs a mandatory viewing for all right thinking people.
