Mohenjo Daro has posted shockingly low numbers on its opening day at the box office. The first day collections are lower than much smaller films like Udta Punjab and Baaghi.
The Friday numbers have pretty much decided the box office fate of the film. It would need growth of 40-50% on Saturday to have any chance of recovering costs, but even that looks unlikely now as the film has shown drops at a few single-screen centres and multiplex business in the morning was at around the same level as Friday.
It’s difficult to see where the film goes from here. With such low opening numbers, only a miracle can save it from becoming one of the biggest disappointments of Hrithik Roshan’s career.
Clash or not, there was simply no interest amongst the audience to watch Mohenjo Daro on the big screen. Films like Bombay Velvet, Mohenjo Daro and to a certain extent even FAN – prove that irrespective of how big a star is, they are not bigger than the films they appear in. If the choice of films isn’t good enough and the promos are unexciting, the audience can even reject a film from the makers of ‘Jodhaa Akbar’.
Will Mohenjo Daro beat the 63 crore total of the 8-year-old Jodhaa Akbar, which was banned in 3 major states? Even that remains uncertain at the moment.

This will be Hrithiks first disaster after a very long time,wasted whole 2yrs to make a pathetic film like this,Rustom is not that good but atleast it enjoyable and the music album is a plus.
As a salman fan i wanted raees to move out next year to make way for kaabil but after these pathetic collections i want to see a clash between them and decide who is better and ahead after salman , akshay / aamir…..??
Please hrithik Release any upcoming movie on Eid 2017 or Diwali 2017 u deserve bigger festival …!!!!!

And opening 8.87 cr in single digits…Someone says,”Hard-word does pay off”..Then why it does not pay off to MD makers??
Last year akshay’s 4 movies were just under 1 bajrangi bhaijaan collections and this year in 3 movies he is going to beat sultan….This is called improvement . Now i think akshay can also release his movies in edx as he can compete against every1 in the industry wether srk or ajay except 2 guys salman and aamir . If dangal isn’t that great than he can compete against aamir as well but i don’t so akshay will compete against salman because firstly they are vry good friends and have worked in movies together as well and secondly nobody dares to compete against SALMAN KHAN . Even Rajinikanth postponed kabali , do i have anything else left to say ?

According to great indicine it’s trailer was very good ,but opening only 8 crs says all that our papa boy needs magazine outstanding trailers on NATIONAL holidays to give big openings.
Still 8 cr opening on non holiday for a hrithik movie with clash is good yarr as he only gives good openings on holidays. NOT bad.

So if Hrithik postpones Kabil then not only he will suffer with another clash but also it will lost audience interest in it.
so I think now it’s time to play bold instead of defensive…He should concentrate on Kabil & come back strongly on Republic Day which is quite lucky for him.
