FAN has become the first film in 2016 to make it to the ‘Highest Opening Day’ collections of all time. The film is ranked No 19 in the list, which is currently topped by Shah Rukh Khan’s 2014 Diwali release ‘Happy New Year’.
The collections of FAN is at around the same level as Ranbir Kapoor’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani in 2013 and Akshay Kumar’s Singh Is Bling which released on the Gandhi Jayanti holiday last October.

This will remain a special film for SRK fans. Hoping it does now well at box office too. Fingers crossed.

Well, as expected, Shah Rukh Khan never fails to rock the Box Office at the International market.
The star’s newly released Fan has collected 2.7 Million USD (17.93 cr) from Overseas Box Office, which includes Thursday and Friday’s business.
Interstingly, this year’s highest grossing film at the overseas market – Kapoor and Sons has made a lifetime business of 7.2 Million. But, it looks like Fan will easily rake in 7+ Million after the completion of its first weekend itself.

This is a good sign..especially for a film like this which is aimed at multiplex going audience..A 19 crore opening day is huge for these kind of films but since it’s a Shahrukh Khan film so u expect his niche films or non massy films to open as good as others..

Important thing is that SRK has finally stepped into a zone which he has lost somewhere in 2006-2015 (excludes CDI, MNIK & Don2).
This’s the area that Sharukh excels & has a true fan-base which had made him unanimously the great superstar for many years.
Problem is that change is more frequent since 2005-2006 which SRK had ignored and ended up with craps (not a good word though) like Ra.One, HNY, Dilwale.
Back in the business with his comfort zone (the INTENSE CHARISMA) the near future looks bright for SRK. The “Baazigar” has arrived and strikes a gold a perfect time…!
