Rocky Handsome has performed poorly on Friday. The first day net box office collections of the film is Rs 5.29 crore, which is poor when you consider the fact that Friday was a national holiday.
Without the holiday advantage (which is usually around 35%), the film would have probably collected around Rs 3.5 crore, which is disastrous and lower than a film like Jai Gangaajal.
In fact, the first day business of Rocky Handsome is lower than the 7th day business of Kapoor & Sons.
The John Abraham action film was released on 2000 screens across India. It was pretty much a washout at multiplexes. It did perform reasonably well at select centres, but even those were below-the-mark for a holiday release.

I think you were unlucky.. even trade figure of Rocky Handsome is 5.5 crore.. Official figs are 10% higher.
Movie has good action and fight scenes although dark! But a better story and songs would have boosted the movie which it mainly lacked! Better luck nxt time John! :)

Sunny Leone and Shah Rukh Khan have started shooting for the item number in Raees!
Mehboob Studio in Mumbai will be on fire today as the sexy actress Sunny Leone and the ultimate charmer Shah Rukh Khan begin shooting for an item number for the upcoming film, Raees. The item number will be a revised version of Laila O Laila from the film Qurbaani and like Zeenat Aman (who was in the original song), Sunny will also be wearing a sultry, sequinned white gown along with a feathered head gear.
The entire setting at the studio has been specially changed for this item number. “It’s a dance track, an item number which is part of the film and not an end-credit song. The set is that of an old retro bar. The situation is that it is a bar where they are selling alcohol in the pretext of selling cold drinks. That is where Sunny is dancing,” a source revealed to to PTI.
The actress has been going through rigorous training to achieve a toned look for the item number with her instructor Prashant Sawant. “Sunny has been training hard and wearing a compression gear T-shirt that weighs eight pounds. Her regime also includes functional TRX. She makes it a point to work out with me every day before heading out for dance rehearsals,” Prashant revealed to a leading daily.
The source further added that the song sequence will go on for four days and as of now only Shah Rukh‘s entry will be shot. 50 junior artists and 20 dancers will be part of this song.

Criticising by saying chances are bleak and asking them to improve K&K to 8 cr?? LOL. Predictions can go either way. If collection was 5.35 crore.. it would be accurate prediction. Its not like they got it wrong by a long way.

Indicine I think bhaagi and ki and ka opening day should be swapped. Ki and Ka will earn more than Bhaagi opening weekend too. One side it’s Arjun (100 cr non holiday grosser) Kareena(5/6? 100 crs) where did Tiger come from ? Shradda is still coming up but nah even the starcasts is way bigger than Bhaagi. What I feel subject to disapproval.

Star Cast: Amazing performance by all involved…Including John(his character had a great change throughout movie)….I loved the villains…one being crazy and the other short tempered and calculative……The performance of the girl surprized me and she was super cute
Direction: The film had an interesting narrative and was fun till the end…I was at the edge of my seat and didn’t check mobile even once(Huge milestone for movies if you know me)
Songs: They could have been better but they are not as bad as people make them out to be!!!
The songs actually work well with the film and act as a powerful background music throughout….
Sure they are no chartbusters but during the movie, they will manage to captivate you…I had a problem with the video tho as 3 of the song videos are heavily sexualized….I wanted to watch this one with my dad who loves thrillers so this is certainly a no-no…The songs Rock da party and Titliyaan are quite catchy from the whole bunch….
Action: Simply superb…Many people said from the teaser that he is using knife at a gun fight but he is not given a chance to get weapons nor has he had any weapons since the beginning!!! He got the knife from another villain and he does use guns in final scene(Which he also steals from some thugs)…That is the reason he uses knife more often…And these thugs are indian mostly so they don’t have that many guns themselves…All just have one round and once it finishes, they use knives also….PS: It is more exciting and fun to watch the knives fighting instead of regular boring gun fighting….
Special Mentions: Some part of this movie really terrified me for how awesome and horrific it was(Like when John opened trunk of car)…So kudos to that….First half is a bit slow but it is the build up that makes the second half great!!!
Story: Very engaging and thrilling…There is more substance here than in Dhoom 3 if you ask me and that should make you sold….Besides, when have action films have top-notch scripts…?? Never!!! But this one has an interesting one tho the crimes it deals with are more than 1 so be prepared to meet real kingpins of crime
A solid dark action movie that truly is on par with Hollywood
