Sanam Re, made on less than half the budget of Fitoor, has emerged as the winner of the clash this week. It isn’t a big winner at the domestic market like Bajirao Mastani or Airlift, but has probably done enough to just about recover costs by the end of its first week.
The film opened to a decent response on Friday, picked up by around 10% on Saturday and showed a big jump in business on Valentine’s Day.
The drop is more than 50% at most centres today (Monday).

i put the footfalls data from boi. The footfalls of vz,main hoon na,oso are less than 1.60cr & devdas 1.73cr. So avg of these four films in is around 1.60cr. In 1999-2001period hum saath saath hai footfalls is 2.30which is similar to the huge blockbuster kaho na pyar hai2.32,better than mohabbatein’s 2.06 but slightly less than multistarred k3g 2.40. Post2007 kick 2.06 cr footfalls,dabangg 2.10,bodyguard1.90, dabangg sequel1.80, ek tha tiger 2.20, bajrangi bhaijaan 2.80. So avg footfalls of these six blockbusters of salman is 2.14 compared to avg 1.60 of devdas,main hoon na,veer zaara,om shanti om. This is the difference between salman rule & srk rule.
@romance beggar Why are you denying truth. Fan will struggle to cross 100 crore, you ppl have a habit of predicting 300 cr for every movie and ultimately u fail. Dilwale was totally eaten up by bajirao mastani.
Fan will cross 100 cr only in the best case. Mohenjodaro will do 140 crore in week 1 itself. Recent success of Baahubali, BM prove audience love such films.
