Akshay Kumar, Nimrat Kaur and the rest of the Airlift team, celebrated the industry’s first big success of 2016, at an event organised by T-Series head Bhushan Kumar.
Airlift is Akshay’s most profitable film since Rowdy Rathore and his first 100 crore grosser since Holiday: A Solider Is Never Off Duty.
The film is inching closer towards the 200 crore mark worldwide, as it has already grossed Rs 179 crore all over the world in 11 days after its release.

150 Cr life time not possible now. Airlift Team should aim to beat 120 Cr Mark & then should celebrate it.
100 cr is a huge achievement for a star like Akki.
Critically acclaimed, great WOM, patriotic factor, yet struggling at the box office. Why? because of Akki’s starpower. He gave 4 flops last year.
Akki will soon have to start to beg on streets. HF3 will not have any patriotic feel, and it will be another 60 cr flop.

i respect akki but it seems he contradict his own word. in recent interviews akki said he does not care about 100 crore or 200-300 crore club he just does not bother or believe in bo numbers. but finally, after dozens of 70-80 crore film, he deliver a 100 crore film with airlift and he is partying like he break pk’s record.
It is Joker Kumar’s first hit since Rowdy Rathore due to low budget not big grosser.
