It’s game set and match for Airlift as it has pretty much decimated Kya Kool Hai Hum 3 at the box office. Content has won once again, as the audience has rejected the Balaji Motion Pictures’ sex comedy.
The film has dropped to pretty low levels already as the Monday collections of Kya Kool Hai Hum 3 is Rs 3 crore. There will be a bit of growth today, as it’s a holiday for Republic Day. But with Mastizaade scheduled to release next week, the fate of Kya Kool Hain Hum 3 has been sealed.
The first Kya Kool Hain Hum film in 2005 netted Rs 16 crore at the box office and the second film in 2012 collected Rs 44 crore. The third film will fall somewhere in between, which is a very poor result.
It’s the first film of 2016 that has been rejected outright.

but you have said that target audience of both movies is different so how airlift affected kkhh3?
KHHH 3 deserves flop, you can’t expect to release a dull adult comedy on republic weekend. Great to know that KKHH 4 won’t be made as 3rd is flop.
Ektar kapoor did wrong dicision to clash with Airlift. how did she thought that KKHH3 will do buissness with Airlift. Audience are not fool that they wll go to watch kkhh3 except Superb Airlift.

Coming to box office prospects, it should have been preponed to 16th January so that it could have 1 week open run !! Ekta Kapooor did a huge mistake & she will have to pay for it !!

KKHH3 wanted to steal the thunder of Mastizaade by releasing a week earlier………too much business sense of Ekta Kapoor went into it…..but it completely misjudged the sentiment and competition……….it is national sentiment this week…..and tough content rich competition in Airlift…..
