Would appreciate if you come up with a similar detailed article for Dilwale, the budget of Dilwale is much much less than Bajirao, secondly you have ‘assumed’ SRK’s acting charge and added that to the movie’s budget, What is the need of doing that when SRK himself is the producer of the movie ? I’m sure the returns of Dilwale are much much higher than Bajirao Mastani if you compare the detailed analysis. Plus add the overseas business which is ATBB & there is no reason why Dilwale is not a ‘Clean Hit’. Just because some distributors have lost money does not mean that the movie cannot be given a clean hit, even Dabanng 2 was sold at a very high price but the distributors return was much less eventually resulting in many of them losing money, but that did not affect its verdict, then why should it affect Dilwale ?
Also acc to your Dilwale BO prediction article, anything between 140-150 cr would give it Above Average/Hit verdict.
It has done record breaking business overseas which means higher returns, has to be a Clean Hit.

Bajrao Mastani was a good movie and am glad it won the clash,after BM Ranveer is on top of the list of the Youngstaan,Ranveer next film Befikre will have a good opening for sure of 10cr+.

Trade and audience were worried this would flop but it ended up big hit so Kudos to Ranveer and BM team. Very well deserved. Again Well done to all involved esp Ranveer and Priyank.
BM is a huge success at the Box Office and there is no doubt about that . It has beaten the collections of RR, Singham Returns, Bodyguard, D2 and Bang Bang ! It can also beat YJHD . The risk was huge to clash with SRK, Kajol, Varun and Rohit Shetty but SLB and Eros took the risk and they proved it was worth it . Till now only few movies have done more than 100 CR in Overseas Markets – MNIK, 3 Idiots, Dhoom 3, CE, PK, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Dilwale and now BM . So this is a huge achievement for Ranveer Singh . For me BM was a Average movie but i am happy to see people are willing to watch such kind of movies on festival periods .

Before the release of film SRK fans were said that Dilwale will fail to cross 300 crs due to clash with BM but now Ranveer fans will say that BM failed to cross 250 due to Clash with Dilwale.

Now i would want to know from you how much profit eros international has earned from bajirao mastani.. As per my knowledge the distributor’s share from india will be around 85 crs and the budget was 130 crs.. so they have lost around 45 crs.. isn’t it? Because for dilwale you didn’t give the clean hit verdict due to the losses suffered by the distributors.. so why superhit to this? I just want to know about this..
@wap4, not really. Every single investor has made profits from Bajirao Mastani. No one has lost money. Budget, according to Eros, is around 130 crore. Out of which 50 crore was recovered from Satellite – confirmed by Eros. Music and other rights recovery was 15 crore. Had to do theatrical share of around 65. The worldwide share would be around 125-130 crore. Huge hit!

@indicine .. You clearly mentioned in the Dilwale BO prediction article that the amount Dilwale needed to ‘break even’ is 60 cr. Then why on earth change the verdict now when the movie has already collected more than twice the amount it needed to break even in the domestic market itself ? Congrats to SLB, Ranveer, Deepika and PC. They were up against a huge task and they have been the clear winners. Many ppl talked that this clash would be OSO vs Saawarya Part 2 but SLB was confident of his work and am happy for him that he is getting all this adulation.
