Based on our interaction with those in the trade, reports from audience and our own expectations, we will be predicting the opening day collections of all films that will release in 2016.
- First Day collections of Bollywood films will be predicted soon after the theatrical trailer (or long teaser) of a film is released.
- Predictions could be updated / changed everyday, based on the increase / decrease in buzz, response to songs, television campaign, effectiveness of marketing campaigns etc.
- The final predictions for the opening day collections will be made a day before release – after which the collections will be compared to the official first day collections of the film.
- 15% or lesser difference between our prediction and actual collection will be considered ‘Fairly accurate’ prediction.
- 10% or lesser difference between our prediction and actual collection will be considered to be ‘Accurate’.

Indicine FBO was not just a huge success but also a revolution in Bollywood Websites as there is no website apart from Indicine who predicts the first day collections of movies . So first of all kudos to you for bringing something new and refreshing . Out of all these movies there is only one movie i think which will be more than your prediction and i.e. Airlift . I feel it will do more than 10 CR on Day 1 . But apart from that your predictions for all other movies are spot on . 7.5 CR is a bold prediction for KKHH 3 but both the previous movies were successful and people watch those movies on TV . Even GM did something unexpected and did 100 CR in 2013 which tells people of India love double meaning Comedy . I hope this time your predictions are even more accurate than 2015 because this looks like a tough year as you have to predict for movies like – Airlift, Fan, Housefull 3, Sultan, Raees, Mohenjo Daro, Rustom, Shivaay and Dangal .
@Saksham, thanks. Yes, Airlift could do 10 crore plus. Kya Kool Hain Hum 3 prediction is not really ‘bold’, because the last film did 7 crore on its opening day, 3 years ago. Such films came surprise! The only problem is similar films releasing back to back, Mastizaade and KKHH3

Kya Super Kool Hai Hum had two plus points over KKHH 3
1.Ritesh Deshmukh
2.Superhit Music
KKHH music is not even 30% hit that of KSKHH and both Tushar Kapoor and Aftab are not even 20% of Ritesh in case of Comedy.
Therefore it might struggle to cross KSKHH both on 1st day and lifetime.
Ur fbo is very good but more effort needs to go info lbo which is still below par
Airlift is not less then 12cr mark my word, i hardly go wrong . in 2013 KSKH has 7 cr but that time ther is no clash, but this time Airlift will Fly. KKHH3 will be around 5-6 cr. finger cross for Airlift.
In my opinion people should avoid to watching movies like Mastizaade, KKHH3, Hate Story Series……..

Upset to see Akshay kumar movies openning collection below 20cr. he was ahead of salman and aamir before 2008, but his insane decision took his stardom down to new comer level. He should stick his decision to do a single or maximum 2 movies in a year.
