The most anticipated film of the first month of 2016, Akshay Kumar’s Airlift, releases in theatres in two weeks from now. Sources say, the film is extremely close to Akshay’s heart and he wants as many people as possible to watch it when it releases during the Republic Day weekend.
The theatrical trailer, which was released a couple of days ago, has received around 2.3 million views on Youtube. The response has been excellent, what with the trailer receiving 22,385 likes against 536 dislikes.
Talking about the film, Akshay said “The film is based on a true event and we are proud to tell this story to everyone. The incident has been recorded in Guinness book of world records stating that the biggest evacuation has been done by Indians”
“I was very happy to do this film when it came to me. This incident was hidden by the government because of a political reason connected to US and we are proud to reveal it to the world now”
