The three major films in theatres this weekend – Dilwale, Bajirao Mastani and Star Wars: The Force Awakens – couldn’t really take full advantage of the Christmas holiday. The two Hindi releases were running in their 2nd week at the box office.
On the same day last year, PK collected a record-breaking Rs 27.55 crore on its 7th day, which was about 8% higher than the collections of Dhoom 3 the previous year.
In 2015, the collections on Christmas Day is down by around 15% from last year. In hindsight, a 25th December release, with preview shows starting on 24th, could have proven to be beneficial for Dilwale.

- 2010: Tees Maar Khan (Day 2) = 13.5 crore
- 2011: Don 2 (Day 3) = 17.98 crore

- 2013: Dhoom 3 (Day 6) = 25.52 crore
- 2014: PK (Day 7) = 27.55 crore
- 2015: Dilwale (Day 8) + Bajirao Mastani (Day 8) + Star Wars (Day 1) = 23.94 crore

Aamir is Christmas Rular for a reason. D3 6th day and PK 7th day collection are higher than Dilwale first day collection & Sunday collection,Yes Dilwale had a clash on first day but still it is incredible.
Even Akki’s tees maar khan collected much more than Dilwale on Christmas day….what a shame!!!
Ghajini is one of Aamirs best films.
All the films released on Dec month were good with the exception of TMK & Don 2,now Dilwale has joined the list,but TMK is the crappiest of them all
