Dharma Productions’ Brothers opened well at the box office last Friday and showed decent growth in business on Saturday (holiday for Independence Day), but after two good days, the film has shown consistent drops.
Brothers has collected Rs 72.6 crore in its first week and looking at the drop on 2nd Friday, the film is certain to finish below the 100 crore mark at the domestic box office.
Brothers is Akshay’s costliest film, so the film is heading towards Flop / Below Average status, depending on how it fares in its second weekend.

I mean come on!! You cannot expect a serious film to do 200 crs. The film has to be liked by one and all and that creates repeat audience. Talking about star power, Salman and Aamir are no doubt in the top league but you cannot ignore Ajay and Akki. Doing 4 films of different genre is no small feat. I mean atleast he doesnt play it safe by choosing roles and films that will be sure shot hit.
There was a feedback on ETC from distributors all over India that Salman, Aamir and SRK bring huge smiles on their face once a year but it is Akki who keeps their houses running. That says it all
