Emraan Hashmi’s Mr X has collected Rs 4.5 crore on its opening day at the box office. The film that marked the return of Emraan to the Bhatt camp, opened poorly both at multiplexes and single-screens in the morning and failed to pick up towards the end of the day.
Due to such low numbers on Day 1, the film will have to show growth in the range of 50-60%, for it to have any chance of getting close to recovering costs.
The occupancy for morning shows on Saturday was again around 10-15%, which is about the same as Friday. It remains to be seen if Mr X will pick up at multiplexes for the evening and night shows.

1st week- 25-26cr.
Lifetime- 40-42cr.
Verdict- semi hit/above average.
Gabbar is back should touch 20 crores..as it is a holiday on many parts…gujarat and maharashtra were separated on may 1,1960 so its a holiday in both these centes…as i am from gujarat i can tell you there is huge buzz for gib…
I think bombay velvet’s buzz has increased coz the promos of Fifi song are continous on any music channel on tv as if the film is releasing next week while gabbar promos are’nt that frequent!!
