Actor Sanjay Dutt, who played the villain in Karan Malhotra’s last film ‘Agneepath’, has been signed to play the main antagonist in Salman Khan’s 2016 release ‘Shuddhhi’.
Currently serving his jail term in Pune’s Yerawada jail, Dutt will be released in July or August this year. ‘Shuddhhi’ is expected to be the first film that he will be shooting for, after he is freed from jail.

A source told Bombay Times that ‘Shuddhhi’ is about three characters – the hero (Salman), the heroine and the villain (Sanjay Dutt). Like their previous film together, where Dutt played the iconic character of Kancha Cheena, Karan Malhotra has a equally challenging role this time around too.
Shuddhhi will go on floors after the release of ‘Brothers’.

Sanjay Dutt is a brilliant actor . He has given some fabulous performances in Khalnayak, Saajan, Vaastav, Mission Kashmir, Munnabhai Series and last but not the least Agneepath . I was eagerly waiting for Shuddhhi because of Hrithik but now i will wait . Sanjay Dutt was arrested if i remember on May 2013 and he is facing 60 months of imprisonment out of which he had completed 18 months in 1993 and now he has to complete the remaining amount of 42 months . He has to complete another 22 months in Jail . If he is playing a important role in Shuddhhi then i don’t think Shuddhhi can release in 2016 but if he is playing a cameo like PK then it can release on the tentative period of Eid 2016 . Waiting for the official announcement .

How is this possible? Dutt was sentenced 5 years imprisonment in March 2013, out of which he had already spent 18 months. So he had to spend 3.5 years in jail. Which means he should be released in the last quarter of 2016. How can they release him this year?

Sanjay was terrific in Agneepath and Salman-Sanjay face-off would be interesting since they are friends.Hirani should rather make third part of Munnabhai before the biopic once Sanjay is freed.
i personally like salman more as an actor than the star. he has been always appreciated for
his work when he has played roles which can challenge him as an actor. and there are many
roles where i have loved his work. i hope he will take some more projects like shuddhhi, where
he will be given some space as an actor. for me shuddhhi is in my list of most awaited films.
and the reason is salman the actor!
cast doesn’t matter in khans movie even of they cast tushar kapoor as villain movie will be super hit the name of khan is enough.
