Kya Kool Hai Hum 3 to take on Akshay Kumar’s Airlift

2016 was touted as the year of box office clashes, but with each passing day, the number of clashes continue to increase. The makers of Kya Kool Hai Hum 3 have finalised the release date of their adult comedy. The film will release on 22nd January 2016, which also happens to be the release date of Akshay Kumar’s Airlift.

Kya Kool Hai Hum 3 could also affect the business of Sunny Leone’s Mastizaade, which releases in theatres a week later on January 29.

While Airlift is based on the biggest evacuation of Indians in Kuwait in 1990, Kya Kool Hai Hum 3 is the third part in the super popular adult comedy series Kya Kool Hai Hum.

The first film released in 2005 and was a surprise hit at the box office. The sequel, starring Tusshar Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh, released in 2012 and took a very good opening.

  • Kyaa kool Hain Hum 3 will definitely dent the collection of Airlift but having said both movies are totally different and hope each one emerges a hit.

    Btw, Ajay’s Baadshaho new release date announced I.e Jan 2017.

  • If there was Ritesh then u could think about a clash but now no ritesh also…only sequel factor will help this film and i think so in a big way.

    Completely different target audiences.
    Both movies will get enough screens.

  • No reason to worry for Akshay Fans as akki is way bigger than Tushar Kapoor..

    Hope Azharuddin biopic has a solo release on 13th May 2016…

    I will watch both the films on 22 January..

    I am more excited for Great Grand Masti as there is Ritesh in it….

  • People are forgeting the meaning of a clash. Airlift will be the first choice for many people,but January is jinxed alot of films tend to flop when released in January

  • What was even a question ? Of course Airlift any time any day . Airlift is looking one of the most Promising Movies of 2016 and the trailer was spectacular . I am shocked to see 48 % people voting for Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3 . These people will not go to watch they are just trying to bring Airlift down . I am now observing a pattern which is happening with Akshay Kumar’s movies since the last 3 years have a look :
    2013 – Special 26 vs ABCD
    Special 26 was a Hit and ABCD was a Semi Hit . S26 was a thriller and one of the Best movies of 2013 . ABCD did not had any popular face . It was the first Dance movie made in Bollywood and was released in 3D .
    2014 – Holiday vs Filmistaan
    Holiday was a Hit and Filmistaan was a Flop . Holiday was the Remake of Tamil movie Thuppaki and Akshay was absolutely incredible as Virat Bakshi . Filmistaan was a Box Office Failure but was a critical success and also got a National Award . Sharib Hashmi was exceptional as Sunny .
    2015 – Baby vs Dolly Ki Dolli
    Baby was Above Average and DKD was Average . Baby is one of the Best movies of 2015 . It is Akshay’s Best Performance till date . DKD was produced by Arbaaz Khan . Because of below average content and Clash with Baby this movie was a commercial as well as Critical Failure .
    2015 – Singh Is Bling vs Talvar
    SIB was a Semi Hit and Talvar was a Hit . SIB brought back the combo of AK and PD and the 2nd time Akshay played a Sikh . Talvar is based on Aarushi Talwar Double Murder Case and it is one of the Best movies of 2015 . Irfan, Neeraj Kabi and Konkona Sen Sharma all were appreciated for their performances .
    2016 – Airlift vs Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3
    Airlift is based on the Biggest Evacuation done in the History of Mankind by Air India in Kuwait . KKHH 3 is the 3rd movie in the Franchise and both the previous movies were successful at the Box Office .
    So Akshay is not facing conventional clashes with Salman, SRK, Aamir, Hrithik and Ajay but he is facing competition from small movies that are able to create an impact at the Box Office . I hope Airlift emerges as a Blockbuster and i can’t say anything about KKHH 3 right now . Cheers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Both films has different audiences.
    But KKHH 3 is a sequal so an big opening is guaranteed.
    Airlift will be a long running film at Multiplexs but Mass will reject Airlift.
    Songs will help KKHH 3.

    But Mastizaade will dent KKHH 3 in its 2nd week.

  • Most of the Multiplex Audiences will watch Airlift bt in mass centres KKHM3 collection will be impressive!! and if there was Ritesh in KKHM3 then It would collect much better….poor casting Ekta mam….

  • It is shameful act by KKH3 makers. Movie like Airlift deserve a solo release on Republic Day weekend. Incredible India !!!!!! :(
