Talking about his comments on ‘growing intolerance’ in the country, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has now said that he was never a victim of ‘intolerance’ and that he cannot ever complain that intolerance was shown towards him.
When SRK was asked to speak about Aamir Khan’s statement, Shah Rukh said “I can’t comment about anybody else, but I will say about myself. Even when I was giving that interview (to Rajdeep Sardesai), I was very clear that any of us (stars), irrespective of caste, religion, sex.. stars cannot complain about anything. We have received a lot from the nation.. so there is no reason to complain”
“Having said that, I don’t tell this to outsiders, but I tell my children.. if you want to progress, you have told let a few things out of your mind. You should think modern. Understand your work, try to understand people.. don’t decide and decipher on small issues like regionalism or religion”
“These are normal things, which everyone says.. but to take it out of context and say intolerance.. how can I ever complain that there is intolerance to me?” SRK said.
