Akshay Kumar’s Airlift has shown phenomenal growth on Day 2 at the domestic box office. Like we reported in our box office report yesterday, the morning shows on Saturday were up by around 10% and the upward trend continued through the day.
Cities are performing very well and even mass centres performed better on Saturday as compared to Friday. The word-of-mouth is excellent, which should help the film take advantage of two holidays – one on Sunday and other for Republic Day on Tuesday.
Sunday Update: As expected, morning shows on Sunday are better than both Friday and Saturday. A film like Baby last year, showed growth of 40% on Sunday. Airlift is performing at a higher level, so growth of around 20% or more is a possibility. The film is now looking at weekend business of 43-44 crore and Monday should hold well too because Tuesday is national holiday.

Can’t describe my feelings right now.
First of all it s not just a feel good patriotic film its more than that , it shows how people fights for their survival n how can only humans can help each other on evry situations .
Director Raja Menon doesn’t make a fake patriotic movie with “Deshbakhti” juda imotion 2 please evry1, he shows d real truth thats how our govt. Failed 2 react on dis key situations n not our ministers , d officials who r d real heroes n reacting 2 make dis possible. They r handling d issue sincerely where as our minister’s only think about their “Kursi”.
Mr Raja Menon hats off 2 u Sir.
I thnk It s one of d most toughest scripts 2 exicute .but sir u nailed it.
There r plenty eye opening scenes, like –
When d officials r worried that who will fund d rescue mission u really understand our political situation. Or when our beloved minister try 2
Neglect d issue n said that “this s not our priority” u will understand what we “Mango ppl” means 2 them. Or when d official questioned that why he so upset because “Gulf” is not his department. You will feel d reality of our system .
I hope dis film became an eye opener for every Indian , we should understand 1 very simple thing that –

INDIAN hai –

I really think its high time 2 stop dis religious n political hatred n try 2 be a true INDIAN n stay INDIAN. Then only we can achieve our goals.

So many outstanding scenes make dis a masterpiece , that I can’t describe.
Dis film can b misinterpreted by some but d core theme of dis movie s not patriotism.
Its about humanity n human instincts for survival in toughest situations . How ppl help each other irrespective of their religion n public status is d core idea of dis film.
if u have d courage n true human instincts on your side u can overcome any situations , for that u doesn’t need fake patriotism.

This is my first comment after 11 days as I suffered dengue. Airlift deserve super hit or more. I have not watched it yet but my friends compliment about Akshay’s acting, plot, scale etc. planning to watch on Tuesday.

The first FBO of 2016 mine prediction was better than u now comes the second and third prediction for kkhh3 and airlift. You had predicted 9.3cr for kkhh3 and 10.9cr for airlift and I predicted 8.5cr for kkhh3 and 11.2cr for airlift so now that the officials are out which are 8.15cr for kkhh3 and 12.35cr for airlift. Mine both predictions were better than your predictions so the current scores stand at me 3 and indicine 0.
