Airlift has performed well on Day 8 at the box office, showing little or no drop from Thursday. Ticket prices do tend to increase on Friday, but Airlift was also competing with newer releases like Mastizaade and Saala Khadoos.
The film is now targeting second weekend business of around 17-18 crore, which could also mean the 100 crore mark would be breached on Day 10 at the box office.

Airlift will get a huge jump today (Sat) , following the tradition of multiplex oriented films . Collection will be around 6.5 cr . Then Sunday will bring another 8 cr . 2nd weekend = 19 cr
So it will be a super hit and 4th hundred Cr film for Superstar Akshay Kumar….Houseful 3 will be 5th hundred and first two hundred Cr movie for Akshay …Rustom again will be a class content….And the biggie Robot 2 350 Cr plus
Its a great a movie.. But drops on weekdays is nothing but bad release date which is January month. It had benefitted from republic day but had it been released on Independence day then it would have done much business compare to now and would easily score arnd 150 to 170 crs. its not a commercial film,was meant for plexes and its doing this much great.Before the release no trade analyst predicted even 90cr most fanbases like that of salllu,srk and even akkians were saying max 80 to 90cr, now it is all set to cross 100cr why the need to compare it with univrrsally apeallong films like Twmr or films like Bm which had so many holidays it will be the highest republic day collection mark my words. My take is it will finish inaround 125 to 135 depending on new releases like ghayal.
